If you have a steaming hot pile of compost in your backyard, you know all too well that little itch you get when you get your hands on some organic material… should you throw it in? Will it ruin the delicate balance you’ve spent half your life perfecting? Are we all just compost aerating in a metaphorical tumbler?

Don’t scratch that itch! While our packaging is made of paper, we haven’t directly tested our products for compostability. We don’t recommend including them in compost that is going to be used to grow food for human consumption. This is essentially being on the super cautious side, and there's nothing in the wrappers or inks themselves that is toxic or dangerous. The materials just won't add particularly nutrient dense organic elements to your composting when compared to something like food scraps! 🍌

Instead, our wrappers are always fit to recycle. Or use them to make crafts! We love crafts.
