We get it, finding toilet paper that’s a great value can be really confusing. Because really, what’s bigger, jumbo or mega? Giant or XL? What about ultra long? Is that better than super long? We’re not sure either. But if we learned anything from Dr Talagala’s year 10 maths class, it’s that you have to show your work. So here’s ours:
Based on a review of the top 100 grocery products in August 2026, the average mega length roll sold has 261 sheets. Mega XL rolls have 324 sheets and mega XXL rolls have 428 sheets.
At 370 sheets our Bamboo rolls are 42% longer than the average mega roll and 14% longer than the average mega XL roll.
At 385 sheets our Recycled rolls are 48% longer than the average mega roll and 19% longer than the average mega XL roll.
Phew, that was a lot of nerdy detail. Now if you don’t mind, we’re going to get back to watching Love Island. Or making toilet paper. One or the other.
